Finis J. Galloway Jr., 1932-2003, Mount Wolfe, Pa.

Finis J. Galloway Jr., 71, of Mount Wolfe, Pa., died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at his home.

He was born May 20, 1932, in Eldon, Okla., a son of Finis J. Sr. and Geritrude Ruth Clemons. He was married to Jean C. Hix for 22 years. He later was married to Paula Shenberger, who survives of the home.

Mr. Finis was a believer in the Christian faith. He was an Army veteran, serving three years in Germany. When he returned, he worked at Montgomery Wards in Sedalia and then was the manager of Sears for 14 years. He retired to work for the Texas Eastern Pipeline. He later worked for Dukes Energy in Pennsylvania.

He enjoyed life, people, family and friends. He liked laughing, traveling, spending time outdoors, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed listening to music, dancing and learning about the Cherokee heritage.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammie W. Galloway Stultz, of Sedalia, and Delphia U. Galloway Garrison, of Springfield, Ill.; an adopted daughter, Vivian L. Hix, of Sedalia; an adopted son, Clifford D. Hix, of Raymore; a sister, Kathrine Richardson, of Mesa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Cindy J. Galloway; and a brother, Charles W. Galloway.

Memorial services and cremation were held in York, Pa. A local memorial service is pending.
